Ambassador Committee

The Ambassador Committee acts as the public face of the Chamber, often working on:

  • Event Assistance: This team supports events like ribbon cuttings, mixers, and grand openings by greeting attendees, facilitating networking, and representing the Chamber.
  • Community Outreach: They serve as liaisons between the Chamber and the broader community, promoting Chamber events and initiatives.
  • Recognition and Celebrations: They recognize member achievements, anniversaries, or expansions, fostering a sense of community and celebrating local successes. Surprise patrol!
  • Social Media Support: Ambassadors like, share and comment to boost the Chamber’s presence on Social Media.

Ambassadors Visit Cintas

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee focuses on:

  • Member Engagement and Retention: Membership Committee Members reach out to new members, answer questions, and help them navigate Chamber resources. They may check in with established members to boost engagement and renewals.
  • Member Recruitment and Orientation: This committee actively recruits new members, develops outreach strategies, and participates in new member orientation meetings.
  • Program and Benefit Development: They evaluate member benefits, suggest new programs, or help optimize existing offerings based on member feedback.
  • Business Advocacy: Membership Committee members  engage with members to gather feedback, which helps the Chamber advocate more effectively on behalf of business needs. Report back to staff regarding possible advocacy needs.

Workforce/Education Committee

The Workforce/Education Committee focuses on:

  • Workforce Readiness Initiatives: This committee oversees the implementation of the Velocity Summer Internship Program. This program connects local high school students with chamber member businesses to explore their career interests.
  • Rising Star of the Month Program: Each month, from September to April, we honor and recognize outstanding students from our local high schools. All recognized students are invited to apply for a scholarship which are given in a ceremony in May.
  • Business and Education Collaboration: Hosting conversations between educators and employers to ensure curriculum matches industry needs.

Latino Business Outreach Committee

The Latino Business Outreach Committee focuses on:

  • Business Development Support: Workshops, mentorship programs, and access to small business resources.
  • Networking & Collaboration: Events and mixers to connect Latino business owners with industry leaders and potential clients.
  • Advocacy & Representation: Engaging with local government and stakeholders to ensure the voices of Latino entrepreneurs are heard.
  • Community Engagement: Celebrating Latino culture and contributions through events and initiatives. The Second Annual Vista's Fiestas Patrias will take place on Sunday, September 14.

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee focuses on:

  • Policy Review & Monitoring
    We track legislation and issues that impact local businesses, from city ordinances to state and federal regulations, and keep our members informed and prepared.
  • Host Forums & Roundtables
    We organize events like Meet the Leaders and State of the Community, where members can ask questions, learn about key issues, and hear directly from elected officials and city staff.
  • Advocate for Local Business
    We work with city leaders and partner organizations to advocate for pro-business policies that support economic growth, infrastructure, and workforce development.
